Technical Producer

As a Technical Producer you will use your soft skills to ensure smooth team operation and your self-starter attitude to make sure nothing falls through the cracks, as well ensure proper technical deconstruction of tasks and improvements of processes.

Responsibilities

  • Be heavily involved in roadmap planning, pre-production and production

  • Work with all tech and feature teams to understand their top technical challenges and tooling needs

  • Own technical roadmaps, helping to drive and coordinate the efforts of our core technology teams

  • Drive the creation and maintenance of status reports on technical performance

  • Capture technical needs from the leads and engineers into a structured form that allows easy discussions, prioritization and status reporting

  • Schedule and organize various meetings for capturing, prioritizing and breaking topics down into tasks or stories in our project management software

  • Establish and drive processes to improve efficiency and communication within the technical teams as well as the studio at large

  • Review together with the team and the key ‘internal customers’ the usability and efficiency of existing and new tools. 

  • Synchronize data across various systems such as JIRA and Excel sheets

  • Maintain project status and progress on a story level as well as on roadmap and strategic  levels

  • Create and maintain reports that show various roadmaps, status & progress of technical initiatives, ETAs, key technical risks organized into topic clusters etc.

  • Integrate bug reports from the QA team into your reports to provide transparency on technical quality for various areas of the code base or the products

  • Constantly evaluate and adjust workload of all engineers, reprioritizing or reassigning tasks as necessary

  • Identify areas where the team is at risk of not hitting its targets and message that to affected groups

  • Coach and mentor junior members of the production team

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of production experience

  • 3+ years of technical-related project management experience

  • Solid understanding of game production and its standard practices

  • High level understanding of various technologies in order to be able to speak accurately to them in discussions

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work and think effectively in a structured manner

  • Advanced Excel and JIRA skills

  • Disciplined work ethic

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Enjoy working with people and teams

  • Excellent ability to visualize data and convey information clearly and succinctly

  • Have a service attitude

  • Love what you do!

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with C++

  • Experience with Unreal and Blueprint 

  • Experience with version management software (Perforce, Git)

  • Experience with managing build deployments
