Senior / Lead
Level Designer

 
 

We’re looking for talented team players who share our values of passion, trust, responsibility, camaraderie, and growth.  As a Senior or Lead Level Designer you will be on the front lines of the game, creating the worlds that every player will experience. Working with a world class team of artists you will design spaces that inspire awe and create fun, thought provoking experiences for our players. 

Responsibilities

  • Help drive the layout and inner workings of the levels/sets on the MILE and future titles

  • Work within the engine to implement systems requiring a level component

  • Design spaces that highlight and maximize the systemic elements of the game

  • Must be comfortable heavily collaborating with and working in tandem with environment artists to create the best playing AND best looking spaces

  • Work with the art department to ensure performant levels

  • Work with the balance designer to make map adjustments to aid in game balance

  • As a member of a small studio and an even smaller design team, you will be expected to add input and ideas to all aspects of the game design.

  • Promote psychological safety by valuing giving feedback honestly but respectfully while also practicing excellent listening skills when hearing feedback on your work

Required Qualifications

  • Experience creating levels for shipped titles, personal projects, or game modifications

  • Good head for layout, game design, and visual design

  • Self-starter that is not afraid to think outside the box

  • Great communication skills

  • 3+ years of industry experience as a level designer

  • Love what you do!

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in level design for action games a plus

  • Shipped levels in commercial products

  • Expert with level creation in Unreal Engine

  • Comfortable with Unreal Engine Blueprint scripting

  • 6+ years of industry experience
